Prior to his current position, Dr. Rogers was an inspector with the United States Department of Agriculture for a decade.
In preparation for his career, Dr. Rogers attended Southern University at Shreveport, graduating with an associate degree in chemistry. He later earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in 1996. An accomplished contributor to his field, Dr. Rogers boasts two scientific medical publications.
To keep abreast of his field, Dr. Rogers is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Medical Association of Bexar County. He considers creating opportunities for others to be his greatest career achievement, and he trains anyone who wants to learn veterinary medicine. As the first in his immediate family to graduate from college, Dr. Rogers aims to extend opportunities to others that were not available to him.
In the coming years, Dr. Rogers plans to have his family work with Pet Shotz Inc. and build it into a generational business. He plans to continue working and bring his children into the endeavor when appropriate. Dr. Rogers attributes his success to God. He also credits his parents, who worked hard to build a future for their children.
