Dr. Matoole developed an interest in neurology at an early age, and was inspired by his father to enter medicine. Through hard work and dedication, he is now part of one of the largest neurology groups in Indiana, with 11 locations. Dr. Matoole specializes in pediatric and adult neurological health care services, such as Alzheimer’s, epilepsy, headaches, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, sleeping and movement disorders, as well as injuries to the brain and spine. He is an often featured Marquis Who’s Who Industry Expert, and a recipient of the Marquis Who’s Who Humanitarian Award and the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.
An alumnus of the University of Denver, Dr. Matoole earned a BA in chemistry in 1991 and a MD from the University of Nebraska in 1996. He served a fellowship in internal medicine with the Medical College of Wisconsin affiliated hospitals, and in 2000 joined Creighton University in a neurology residency, followed by a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology with Indiana University in 2001. Now a practicing physician, Dr. Matoole oversees hospital coverage for the neurology patients of his group, and coordinated with the patient care committee in treating disorders. He was certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and intends on expanding his practice in the coming years.
Dr. Matoole has been an active part of his local medical community, and has been a member of the Community Hospital East, Community Hospital North, Community Hospital South, the St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, the St. Vincent Heart Hospital, the St. Vincent Hospital Carmel, the Johnson County Memorial Hospital, the St. Francis Hospital of Mooresville, and the Community Heart and Vascular Center of St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. He is a member of the Indianapolis Medical Society, the Indiana State Medical Association, the American Academy of Neurology, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and numerous other groups. Dr. Matoole is a recognized member of the Phi Gamma Delta honor society, as well.
