Dr. Izadi’s career in medicine has been marked by more than three decades of leadership and innovation. Since 1993, she has served as the owner and medical director of Pristine Wellness Center in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, where she consults patients on endocrine and hormone replacement therapies and age-related health concerns, and provides advanced aesthetic medicine procedures. Her expertise extends to functional medicine, where she supports family practice physicians and serves as a provider for EHE. Furthermore, Dr. Izadi is recognized as an expert Fotona laser provider, reflecting her commitment to integrating the latest technologies into patient care.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, Dr. Izadi contributed as a preceptor at the Center for Integrative Medicine at Stanford Health Care, where she mentored emerging physicians in integrative practices. Her earlier experience included serving as a medical doctor at Kaiser Permanente, where she provided comprehensive care within a large health care system. Dr. Izadi’s background also featured work as a trauma doctor in the emergency room in San Antonio, Texas, and as an attending doctor at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, roles that honed her ability to deliver critical care under pressure.
A defining aspect of Dr. Izadi’s professional journey has been her dedication to transforming the medical field through a holistic approach to patient care. She began this mission by teaching physicians at Stanford University, emphasizing the importance of viewing the body as an interconnected system encompassing physical health, mental well-being, environment and social life. Dr. Izadi’s advocacy for deeper, more personalized care challenges the conventional model of brief, symptom-focused visits and has inspired both colleagues and patients to pursue more meaningful healing.
Throughout her career, Dr. Izadi has practiced medicine in diverse environments, from war zones where her stethoscope was often her only diagnostic tool to technologically advanced hospitals equipped with cutting-edge resources. Notably, she was among the first physicians to implement CT angiography of the heart, saving numerous lives through this innovation. This breadth of experience has shaped Dr. Izadi’s belief that effective doctors must master both clinical skills and modern technology.
Dr. Izadi’s academic foundation culminated in a Doctor of Medicine in pediatrics from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 1991. She then completed an internship at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County within Cook County Health and a residency at Dale Hospital. Furthering her expertise, Dr. Izadi pursued fellowships in functional medicine at the University of Arizona and with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). Her commitment to lifelong learning is evident through additional coursework in genetics and genomics at Stanford University and studies in autoimmune disorders at Harvard University. Currently, Dr. Izadi is studying biochemistry in preparation for a master’s program in regenerative medicine and stem cell therapy at Johns Hopkins University.
In addition to her formal education, Dr. Izadi secured multiple credentials that underscore her broad expertise. She holds certification from the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine and from the Age Management Medicine Group. She also holds board certification from the American Board of Integrative Medicine under the American Board of Physician Specialties and from the American Board of Anti-Aging/Regenerative Medicine through A4M. Moreover, Dr. Izadi is a licensed acupuncturist and licensed athletic trainer, and a certified acupuncturist and certified fitness trainer.
Active in her professional community, Dr. Izadi is recognized as an elected fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also a member of the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine, the American Board of Integrative Medicine under the American Board of Physician Specialties, the European Society of Human Genetics and, among others, the Age Management Medicine Group.
Dr. Izadi’s contributions extend to authorship and public speaking. She penned “Own Your Story” in 2024 and authored an article for the American Heart Journal years earlier in 2004. Dr. Izadi has also delivered presentations at The Women’s CLUB of Silicon Valley and other women’s empowerment events, sharing insights on holistic health and personal growth.
In light of her early success, Dr. Izadi was recognized with a Best Presentation Award at the International Neonatology Association Conference in Shiraz, Iran, in 1991. She also received a nomination for Influential Business Person in Silicon Valley. Dr. Izadi attributes much of her success to the values instilled by her father. Her passion for medicine was ignited during childhood by his deep respect for doctors and his unwavering support for her ambitions. In fact, he funded Dr. Izadi’s first clinic in an underserved area of Iran and covered medication costs for patients who could not afford them.
Looking ahead, Dr. Izadi aims to become an expert in regenerative stem cell therapy, a field she believes will shape the future of medicine, and remains passionate about peptide therapy after witnessing its transformative effects during fellowship training. Dr. Izadi also intends to continue advocating for policy changes to allow broader application of these innovative therapies to help patients restore their health more effectively.
