With more than a decade of experience in her field, Dr. Hammer has found much success as an esteemed physician specializing in reproductive medicine and infertility at the Institute for Human Reproduction, a Pinnacle Fertility Clinic in Illinois. Dr. Hammer’s career began with an internship at Northwest Community Hospital in 2009, where she gained valuable experience in cardiac diagnostics. The following year, she served as a global analytical research and development science intern at Abbott Laboratories, further honing her skills in medical research. From 2008 to 2011, she co-founded and presided over Vandy for Vision, demonstrating her leadership abilities while expanding upon her firsthand experience in administration. Subsequently, she coordinated vision clinics at 20/20 from 2011 to 2013 before pursuing her ambitions in medicine.
Dr. Hammer’s academic achievements laid a strong foundation for her career, initially earning a Bachelor of Arts in medicine, health and society with a minor in chemistry, cum laude, from Vanderbilt University in 2011,. She subsequently graduated with a Doctor of Medicine at Rush University in 2015. Dr. Hammer’s residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Rush University Medical Center concluded in 2019, followed by a clinical fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2022. Dr. Hammer holds board certifications in both reproductive endocrinology and infertility and obstetrics and gynecology from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Hammer’s professional affiliations include membership in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the Society of Reproductive Surgeons. She has also contributed to the field through her posts as the vice chair of the Imaging in Reproductive Medicine Special Interest Group within the American Society for Reproductive Medicine since 2024 and as a junior fellow district officer for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists from 2017 to 2019.
Dr. Hammer’s dedication to advancing reproductive medicine is further evidenced by her involvement with civic-minded organizations such as the Chicago Coalition for Family Building’s Medical Advisory Board since 2025. Her exceptional achievements have been recognized with accolades including the Best Poster Prize at the Midwest Reproductive Symposium in 2022 and the Patient Safety Star from Harvard Medical School in 2021.
