Regine V. Bataille, MD, president and chief executive officer at Gentle Medicine Associates and MD Coach Today, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care.

With nearly three decades of experience, Dr. Bataille has established a successful career in health care, specializing in health services, mental wellness, pediatric therapy, adolescent medicine, and coaching for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She currently serves as president and chief executive officer of Gentle Medicine Associates, a role she has held since 2001, and as president of MD Coach Today since 2023. In her private practice, Gentle Medicine, she cares for children and adolescents with a wide range of medical conditions and works alongside nurse practitioners and coaches clients to manage ADHD, helping them develop organizational skills by guiding them toward solutions that work best for their unique challenges.

Dr. Bataille’s previous experience includes serving as a pediatrician at Staten Island University Hospital from 1997 to 2000 and as a resident doctor at Long Island College Hospital. In addition to her clinical work, she is involved with the Association of Haitian Physicians Abroad and has served as a board member for the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County since 2014. She laid a solid educational foundation, earning both her bachelor’s degree and Doctor of Medicine in Haiti, completing her studies in 1991. She continues to dedicate her career to supporting children’s health and well-being while also giving back to the community through her professional and volunteer efforts.

Reflecting on her path, Dr. Bataille developed a strong interest in ADHD, a condition she feels is still not fully understood despite rapid advancements in research. She believes that ADHD is not solely biological, as once assumed, but is also shaped by an individual’s character and upbringing. She is committed to gaining a deeper understanding of ADHD to improve treatment outcomes, exploring both medication and therapy as potential solutions. However, she recognizes that traditional therapy, which focuses on deep behavioral analysis, may not always be effective for ADHD, driving her to continuously seek new methods to better support her patients. As a physician and coach, she notes the importance of staying at the forefront of the field, which requires an ongoing dedication to acquiring new knowledge. She consistently emphasizes the value of daily learning, acknowledging that there is always more to discover and incorporate into her practice. She believes this mindset has helped her maintain a cutting-edge approach to health care.

One of Dr. Bataille’s most significant accomplishments was her appointment as chair of the pediatric department at the hospital. She attributes her success to her passion for continuous learning, her residency experience, an unwavering commitment to excellence, and her thorough research before making important decisions. In the coming years, she plans to expand her coaching services, travel extensively, and deepen her involvement in philanthropic work. She is particularly excited about integrating research into her practice, which she believes will further enhance her ability to make a meaningful impact in the lives of her patients and the broader community.
