He continued his academic efforts at Georgetown University Medical Center, completing a residency in internal medicine. He was selected for a pulmonary fellowship at Washington University and another fellowship in Critical Care at the University of Pittsburgh.

In addition to his primary vocation, Dr. Singh remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the Society for Critical Care Medicine, American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, Santa Clara County Medical Association, California Medical Association, and Neurocritical Care Society. He was also a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.

In light of his impressive undertakings, Dr. Singh has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was named Resident of the Year by DC General Hospital and Physician Leader of Santa Clara County by the Santa Clara County Medical Association. Through his leadership, the Good Samaritan Hospital was bestowed with the Leapfrog designation, which is a testament to the facility’s commitment to providing quality patient care. This achievement was only possible through effective collaboration with the hospital’s administration and leadership, including the C-suite and the board of the hospital.

Dr. Singh attributes his accomplishments to the wise counsel of his parents, wife, and family, who have exhorted him to seek out the highest quality education, work diligently, and give back to his society and country. In the immediate future, he intends to foster new physician leadership across various levels of healthcare organizations, from hospitals to counties and states. This effort is intended to help shape healthcare policies in order to prioritize cost reduction, service enhancements, quality improvement, and the mentorship of physician leaders.
