Before transitioning into clinical practice, Dr. Sheneman served as a court officer for the commonwealth of Pennsylvania for more than a decade. In this role, she worked first as a domestic relations support officer at the Bucks County courthouse and later in child support enforcement. These early experiences in the justice system laid the foundation for Dr. Sheneman’s enduring interest in criminal justice and its intersection with mental health.
Dr. Sheneman’s academic background is both comprehensive and influential in shaping her career trajectory. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from Temple University in 2009, followed by a Master of Social Work from the same institution in 2013 and a doctorate in psychology focused on grief counseling from American International Theism University in 2025. Among numerous professional credentials, Dr. Sheneman holds licensure as a clinical social worker. She also holds certifications as a clinical trauma professional and a sex therapy-informed professional through Evergreen Certifications LLC.
Demonstrating her commitment to ongoing professional development, Dr. Sheneman is a member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists. Beyond her professional pursuits, she is civically engaged as a donor within her local community, reflecting her dedication to giving back beyond the therapy room or classroom.
