Among other roles, she worked as a staff research associate III at UCLA from 1996 to 1998 and conducted postgraduate research in neuroscience between 1995 and 1996. Dr. Bertolotto’s foundational research endeavors included roles as a research associate at The House Institute from 1995 to 1998 and an assistant research physiologist in the department of physiology between 1993 and 1995.

Dr. Bertolotto’s academic journey is extensive. She received an MD from the University of the Republic in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1990, followed by postdoctoral work in neuroscience from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in 1993. Dr. Bertolotto’s commitment to her field is further demonstrated by her membership in industry-related organizations, such as the Neuroscience Conference and Regenerative Medicine U.S., Brazil, and Mexico.

Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Bertolotto is actively involved in civic-minded organizations. Most notably, she has been an ambassador to Uruguay for Women’s Entrepreneurship Day since 2015.

Dr. Bertolotto’s dedication to advancing medical science has been recognized with a prestigious Medicine Award for her work on neuroscience and research in Uruguay.
