As the founder of her facility, Dr. Vinet helps clients gain new perspectives about their health by helping them navigate various complex health issues, such as autoimmune disorders and hormonal imbalances. She also educates them so that they can feel empowered to take charge and improve their health. Dr. Vinet’s role encompasses listening to her patients’ concerns and devising a plan that links various physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual components in a holistic manner that will aid in their recovery and future wellness.
Following her 10-year tenure as a biomedical engineer at Tulane, Dr. Vinet joined the Covington Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Institute, a leading orthopedic care facility that treats patients throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. Hired as a research coordinator in 2019, she then served as the director of regenerative medicine in 2020. Dr. Vinet’s time at the clinic involved clinical research centered on more natural approaches to orthopedic conditions, such as joint injuries, meniscus tears, arthritis and headaches. She and her team explored various natural methods as alternatives to surgery or pharmaceutical interventions. Dr. Vinet quickly became passionate about the human element of this work. Shortly thereafter, she established Scientifically Natural.
Dr. Vinet was a collegiate track and field runner and volleyball player who received a full academic scholarship to attend Tulane University, graduating in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering with a focus on research, medical imaging and analysis, and infectious disease. While on campus, she also directed the Biotelemetry Core in the veterinary medicine division at the university’s National Primate Research Center in Covington. As such, Dr. Vinet played a significant role in its research programs, resulting in her work being published in scholarly scientific journals. Subsequently, she garnered a PhD in holistic medicine from the University of Natural Health.
Besides her formal education, Dr. Vinet received credentials as a board-certified holistic health practitioner through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and a functional certified nutrition specialist through the Functional Nutrition Alliance LLC and medical laser certified.
Dr. Vinet’s extensive research has been pivotal in shaping her career success. As such, she has disseminated many of her findings in professional journals and other scientific publications, amassing over a dozen publications.
As a leading professional in molecular biology, biomedical engineering, physiology, biotechnology, and holistic medicine, among other areas, Dr. Vinet’s vast experience has garnered her success and recognition. Among her career achievements, she most notably contributed to vaccine development to test therapeutics and study emerging infectious diseases. She has also been recognized with several accolades from New Orleans Magazine, including being highlighted as a Leader in Local Medicine in 2024.
Attributing much of her success to her mother, who has significantly influenced her work ethic, Dr. Vinet also notes her father, a pharmacist, for inspiring her to pursue a career in the medical field.
