Rosimeri C. Pereira-Clements, PsyD, psychologist and president of Clements & Associates, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in mental health.

With two and a half decades of experience, Dr. Pereira-Clements has established a successful career in mental health services, specializing in assessing young children, adolescents, and adults for childhood onset disorders. She currently serves as a contract psychologist at Universal Studios, a role she has held since 2023, and as chief executive officer and founder of Clements & Associates, a position she has held since 1999. Her responsibilities include helping children, adolescents, adults, and families address a wide range of challenges, including developmental delays, behavioral and learning issues, medical conditions, anxiety, depression, attachment difficulties, autism spectrum disorders, adoption evaluations, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and trauma.

Dr. Pereira-Clements’ experience also includes serving as a clinical resident with William Austin, PsyD, in 1999 and with Wanda Eppes & Associates PA from 1998 to 1999. Laying a strong educational foundation, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from California State University, Northridge, in 1988, a Master of Arts in psychology from Pacific Oaks College in 1994, and a doctorate in clinical health psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles, in 1998. She also became a licensed clinical psychologist through the Florida Department of Health in 1999.

Reflecting on her path, Dr. Pereira-Clements discovered her passion for psychology at the age of 13. This early aspiration is reflected in her yearbook, where she expressed her goal of becoming a psychologist during her transition from middle school to high school. Her career choice was deeply inspired by her father, whose generosity and kindness left a lasting impression on her, including him picking up hitchhikers while they lived in California. As she embarked on her professional journey, she encountered initial challenges but leveraged her proficiency in multiple languages to overcome them. This skill allowed her to connect with a broader range of insurance panels, accelerating the growth of her practice. After four years, she faced the decision to maintain a small, manageable business or embrace expansion. She chose to expand, opening the door to collaboration with other doctors by assisting them in obtaining licensure, with many of the doctors she mentored choosing to stay with her practice. Today, her practice has expanded to three locations, with a peak staff of seven.

Dr. Pereira-Clements is deeply committed to addressing the growing need for mental health support. She finds fulfillment in building impactful programs from the ground up, thriving on the opportunity to create meaningful change. Recently, Universal Studios approached her to collaborate on a beta program focused on mental health support for their 38,000 employees. Engaging in conversations with individuals unfamiliar with mental health topics, she welcomed the chance to bring awareness and practical solutions to a larger audience. Following a series of interviews, she was offered a one-year position with the company. Additionally, she has secured another contract with Universal Studios, which is aimed at establishing long-term permanency in their mental health initiatives. As Universal Studios expands its mental health programs, she will play an integral role in the process, particularly through recruitment and program development.

In the coming years, Dr. Pereira-Clements envisions advancing her career in organizational and clinical psychology. She looks forward to growing alongside Universal Studios, collaborating with their medical professionals to enhance mental health support for employees. Within her own practice, she aims to achieve a better balance between her professional and personal life, while continuing to value the meaningful relationships she builds with her clients. She also aspires to adopt a multidisciplinary approach, integrating diverse perspectives and methods to provide comprehensive and effective care.
