With more than 20 years of experience to his credit, Dr. Moore has excelled with the Moore Healthcare Group as the founder and chief executive officer since 2008 and the medical director for the Prevention Center since 2013. In addition to these positions, he has been active as the co-founder and medical director for the Louisiana Urgent Care and Walk-in Clinic since 2006, the co-founder for GeauxMed Solutions since 2014, and the founder, chief executive officer, and medical director for Premier Urgent Care since 2018. From 2001 to 2008, he served as an emergency medicine physician for The Schumacher Group. Dr. Moore began his career as the medical director for the Southwest Louisiana Primary Health Care Center, Inc. between 2001 and 2004.
Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Moore pursued an education at Louisiana State University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in microbiology in 1992. He continued his academic efforts with a Doctor of Medicine at Meharry Medical College in 1998. Dr. Moore concluded his studies at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2014, graduating from the Haslam College of Business with a Master of Business Administration.
Beyond his primary responsibilities, Dr. Moore remains associated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. A member of the American Medical Association since 1998, he has also been affiliated with the National Lipid Association. Moreover, he has been distinguished as a fellow of The American Society for Preventive Cardiology in 2018 and The American Academy of Family Physicians in 2021. Dr. Moore has also contributed to the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity as both a member and a volunteer in civic endeavors.
Dr. Moore has attributed his wealth of success to his pioneering spirit and desire to embrace change. Though be initially worked in the field of emergency medicine, he rediscovered his passion for family medicine as it allowed him to treat patients with whom he could establish relationships over an extended period of time. Among the many highlights of his career, he is particularly proud of obtaining his MBA while handling the responsibilities of his demanding profession. Looking toward the future, Dr. Moore hopes to explore opportunities to expand the operations of Moore Healthcare Group, including franchising and the creation of MD Innov8, which will offer treatments and modalities not covered by conventional insurance.
