Rumpa Amornmarn, MD, president at Osceola Cancer Center, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in radiation oncology.
With nearly 50 years of experience to her credit, Dr. Amornmarn has excelled as president of Osceola Cancer Center since 2006. She immigrated to the United States in 1972 and began her career as a consultant at Baltimore City Hospital from 1976 to 1977. She found further success as a staff member at East Orange VA Medical Center from 1977 to 1981.
Dr. Amornmarn served as assistant professor of radiology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey from 1978 to 1981. She was further associated with the University of Maryland Medical Center as assistant professor of radiation oncology from 1981 to 1983, and the Health Science Center at the University of Florida as associate professor of radiation oncology at and staff physician from 1983 to 1999. She was appointed to the role of president at Artesan, LLC since 2010.
Before embarking on her professional path, Dr. Amornmarn pursued an education at Mahidol University and graduated with her Medical Doctorate in 1971. She was approved for a rotating internship at Siriraj Hospital in 1972 and an internship at the VA Hospital in 1973. At Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, she completed a residency in therapeutic radiology and a fellowship in radiology and oncology in 1977. She obtained a board certification from the American Board of Radiology in 1976.
In addition to her primary vocation, Dr. Amornmarn remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. Among her numerous memberships are the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology Oncology, the American College of Radiology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Florida Medical Association, the American Endocurietherapy Society, and the John Hopkins Medical Alumni Association. She authored several presentations, contributed to more than 25 articles in professional journals, and was featured in Millennium Magazine.
In light of her impressive undertakings, Dr. Amornmarn has accrued several accolades throughout her career. She was presented with awards from Siriraj Medical School in 1970 and 1971 and was selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who’s Who Top Professional, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
