Richard R. Rosenthal MS, MD, FACP,  FAAAAI, FACAAI, Physician at the Premier Allergy Center and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in allergy and immunology medicine.

In preparation for his career, Dr. Rosenthal attended Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in biological sciences and a Master of Science in zoology in 1961 and 1962, respectively. He went on to graduate from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center with a Doctor of Medicine in 1966 and completed an internship with the Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. In 1968, Dr. Rosenthal completed a residency in internal medicine with the Kings County Hospital, and in 1971, he completed an additional residency in internal medicine with the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. In 1973, he finished a postdoctoral fellowship in medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he continues to share his knowledge as an assistant professor of medicine in the university’s clinical immunology division.

Since 2021, Dr. Rosenthal has been a physician with the Premier Allergy Center. He is also the owner of his private practice, Richard R. Rosenthal, MD Ltd., and serves as chief of the allergy section with Inova Fairfax Hospital’s department of medicine, a post he has held since 1975. Alongside his primary posts, Dr. Rosenthal is a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and has contributed numerous articles to professional journals. He served in the United States Public Health Service from 1968 to 1970 and was a grantee of the National Institutes of Health in 1973. In further recognition of his accomplishments, he was listed in the 20th, 24th and 25th editions of Who’s Who in South and Southwest. To keep abreast of his field, Dr. Rosenthal is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. In the coming years, he plans to continue to care for patients while contributing to his field.
