Dewan Khan, Physician, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in primary care.
Hailing from Bangladesh, Dr. Khan obtained a Doctor of Medicine from Rangpur University of Science and Technology in Rangpur and served a residency in internal medicine with Rangpur Medical College in 1987. After immigrating to the United States, she competed a residency in internal medicine with New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in 1994. Since 1995, she has provided superior care in private practice as a primary care provider to patients in Monmouth and Middlesex counties in New Jersey.
Dr. Khan has a special interest in treating obesity and is currently a member of the Obesity Medicine Association. She is planning to be dual board certfied in both Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine in the near future. In addition, she is a member of the American Society For Clinical Pathology (ASCP), the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) and the Islamic Medical Association of North America.
Hard work helped Dr. Khan become a successful physician. She is always working and never has an idle moment. She feels most fulfilled by the fact that she is able to help people as a primary care provider. In the coming years, she plans to ensure that her practice is turned over to a caring and responsible successor before she retires.
