With more than 35 years of experience to his credit, Dr. Raudales has excelled as a nephrologist and consultant with the El Paso Kidney Specialists since 1987. He has been additionally active as the co-chairman of the pharmacy and therapeutics committee with El Paso Kidney Specialists since 2003, the medical director for Central City Dialysis since 1993 and the medical director for Transmountain Dialysis since 2013. Between 2001 and 2003, he served as the chairman of the department of internal medicine at the Sierra Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. Moreover, Dr. Raudales worked as the chief of staff at Providence Memorial Hospital from 2008 to 2009, the Sierra Medical Center in 1998 and Providence Memorial Hospital in 1997.
Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Raudales pursued a formal undergraduate education in Honduras, initially earning a Bachelor of Science in 1970. He concluded his studies at the National Autonomous University of Honduras, from which he graduated with a Doctor of Medicine, summa cum laude, in 1979. In addition to these accomplishments, Dr. Raudales has obtained a certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine as well as a certification in nephrology and hypertension from the ASH Specialists Program through the American Heart Association in 2016.
Beyond his primary responsibilities within the field, Dr. Raudales has participated in numerous notable endeavors. He proudly advanced to the rank of major during his service in the U.S. Army between 1990 and 1991. He has likewise contributed in various positions to the Sierra Providence Health Network, the End Stage Renal Disease Network, the Las Palmas Medical Center, and the Baptist Free Clinic in El Paso, Texas. Dr. Raudales found success with his written works as well, having provided his wealth of knowledge to articles on hypertension published in medical journals in 2001.
Dr. Raudales remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise, including the American Medical Association, the El Paso County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association, the International Society of Nephrology and the American Society of Nephrology. He has been further distinguished as a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Hypertension, the American Heart Association and the National Kidney Foundation. Dr. Raudales has been proudly selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America as well as the fourth edition of Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare.
Dr. Raudales was drawn to his profession after being exposed to the field of medicine at an early age, as his father and aunt were both physicians. Grateful to have received support from his family, he cites his opportunity to maintain his local kidney program after his hospital transferred to new ownership as the highlight of his career. Looking toward the future, Dr. Raudales hopes to enjoy a well-deserved retirement.
