Prior to this appointment, he held the position of a NICU clinical pharmacy specialist at the New York-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York from 2017 to 2018. Dr. Savva was additionally active as a PGY2 pediatric pharmacy resident at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy from 2017 to 2018.

Dr. Savva previously served as a pharmacy practice resident for the Children’s National Health System from 2016 to 2017. He likewise completed pharmacy internships with CVS Health in 2014 and Cohen Children’s Medical Center from 2014 to 2016. Dr. Savva began his career as a pharmacy intern with Crown Chemists Ltd. from 2010 to 2016.

Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Savva pursued an education at Holy Cross High School in Flushing, New York, from which he graduated in 2010. He concluded his academic efforts at St. John’s University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2016, earning a Doctor of Pharmacy. Following these accomplishments, Dr. Savva was certified as a pediatric pharmacy specialist by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties in 2019.

Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Dr. Savva remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise, including the Pediatric Pharmacy Association, the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the New York State Council of Health-System Pharmacists, the Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy Leadership Society and the Phi Delta Chi Professional Pharmacy Fraternity. In light of his exceptional undertakings, he was recognized as a Friend of Nursing by the New York-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York in 2021 and the Pharmacy Manager of the Year in 2019. Attributing his success to the influence of his wife, family and friends, Dr. Savva hopes to continue developing his skills and building upon his stellar reputation until he is cemented as a globally renowned expert in pharmacy practice.
