Daniel Talamo, DO

Title: Physician
Company: HealthyU Family Medicine
Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States

Daniel Talamo, DO, Physician at HealthyU Family Medicine, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in family medicine.

Dr. Talamo’s interest in the medical field began from his own experience being the patient, as he was born with a clubfoot and spent many years of his childhood in hospitals. From this experience, he knew that one day he wanted to help others in the same way medical staff had helped him. Coupled with his love for science, he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Binghamton University in 2012, followed by a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2016. Dr. Talamo subsequently completed an internship at Northwell Health and a residency with Houston Healthcare, where he was honored as Resident of the Year in 2019.

Today, Dr. Talamo excels as a physician with HealthyU Family Medicine in Avondale, Arizona, a role he commenced in 2022. Within his position, he gives children and adult physical exam and treats patients with high blood pressure and diabetes, as well as conducts some procedures in which he administers injections for the joints and the removal of toenails. Dr. Talamo has also worked as a part-time physician with Amwell Medical Group since 2021. In his first professional role, he was a physician for Adelante Healthcare in Goodyear, Arizona from 2019 to 2021. To remain abreast of his industry, he maintains affiliations with the American Osteopathic Association and American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Talamo attributes his success thus far in his career to being proactive and making the effort to educate his patients, which a lot of doctors do not have the time to do. He usually shows pictures and explains in layman’s terms what is wrong with them so they can learn the disease process and figure out how to help themselves rather than just taking medications. Dr. Talamo’s words of advice for a budding professional is to be humble, calm and comfortable being uncomfortable. He adds to never claim to know things you do not, and to admit when you do not know something. Looking ahead, he hopes to continue to expand his knowledge as a physician and incorporate different techniques into his practice to offer the best patient experience.
