Additional educational pursuits to her credit include completing a family medicine residency through the Madigan Army Medical Center from 2009 to 2012. Dr. Hobson holds credentials as a certified flight surgeon by the U.S. Army School of Aviation Medicine, a board-certified physician by the American Board of Family Medicine, and in basic life support through the American Heart Association’s Lifelong Learning Center.
Dr. Hobson honorably served her country in the U.S. Army from 2002 to 2016, earning the rank of major before retiring. She is active in her professional community as a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Board of Family Medicine. In recognition of her success, Dr. Hobson received a Best in Town General Physician Award in Tyler, Texas. However, she has garnered the most reward from her impact in guiding patients to lose weight through diet, exercise and other wellness practices. Enthusiastic about the future of her career at CHRISTUS Health, Dr. Hobson’s goals include acquiring a leadership position to gain a deeper understanding of operations and make more of an impact in her field.
