Reflecting on her path, she grew up in a small town in central Kansas, where her passion for health care was evident early on. Her mother was a nurse, and her father was a self-made businessman, both of whom taught her the value of hard work and determination. Growing up in a town with no female doctors, she unaware that women could pursue medical careers. Once she went to college, she met other women studying pre-med, and she realized her own potential. This inspired her to switch to pre-med courses and, overcame numerous challenges, she became the only one from her study group to gain admission to medical school. After completing her residency, she moved to Arizona and chose anesthesiology as her specialty. Looking to the future, she is open to consulting opportunities and small projects where she can share her expertise, and also hopes to spend more time traveling. For aspiring professionals, she advises focusing deeply on their specialty while pursuing continued education in other areas to gain a broader perspective.
