With years of experience as an esteemed scholar, entrepreneur, and community leader to his credit, Dr. Gbotoe has excelled as the owner and chief executive officer of Ease My Way Community Care Agency LLC (EWCC LLC) since 2020. In this position, he is responsible for the supervision of the provision of care services to the elderly and individuals with developmental disabilities. Furthermore, Dr. Gbotoe has found success as a consultant in leadership and organizational development with Gbotoe Enterprises and Consultancy since 2007, through which he helps small businesses achieve their aspirations through strategic planning.
Between 2010 and 2017, Dr. Gbotoe served as the resident care manager at Providence Health and Services. Moreover, he has held a number of faculty posts at several institutes of higher education, including at North Portland Bible College in 2008. Portland Community College, Oregon in 2018, Concordia University in 2018, and Portland State University in 2020. Dr. Gbotoe is also a creative thinker and author. Dr. Gbotoe has been active as an author as well, having penned “Strategic Planning: Management Within the Local Church” in 2020.
To support his professional ambitions, Dr. Gbotoe initially obtained a Bachelor of Arts in theology and counseling in his native country of Liberia in 1996. He continued his academic efforts with a Master of Arts in organizational management at the University of Phoenix in 2005. In 2009, he subsequently earned a doctorate in organizational leadership from the aforementioned university. Dr. Gbotoe concluded his formal studies as a research scholar at Concordia University in 2020, graduating with a Doctor of Education with an emphasis on transformational leadership.
Beyond his primary responsibilities in his field, Dr. Gbotoe has participated in a number of endeavors in support of his community. Since 2001, he has contributed to Kingdom Harvest Ministries as the founder and bishop, having previously offered his services to the organization as a presiding bishop from 1998 to 2001. He further provided his sermons as a pastor of a regional church in Liberia between 1991 and 1998. His stellar advocacy work extended to the State of Oregon, which appointed him as an advocate for the Africa Advocacy Council from 2013 to 2017. Dr. Gbotoe has also remained affiliated with the Oregon Association for Liberia and the Global United Fellowship.
Having overcome many obstacles on his professional path, Dr. Gbotoe attributes his success to his undeniable passion for helping others, a value nurtured by his parents, as well as the encouragement and inspiration he receives from his loving wife. Initially desiring to become a physicist, he eventually shifted his attention toward theological pursuits and community leadership, which laid the foundation for his work as a mentor and leadership coach. Among the many highlights of his career, he is incredibly proud of guiding leaders toward into becoming more confident and effective, thus achieving their full potential. In the coming years, Dr. Gbotoe hopes to continue managing EWCC LLC and Gbotoe Enterprises and Consulting while improving the educational system in Liberia and devoting his spare time to two new books in his area of expertise.
