Keisha S. Ross, PhD, Owner at New Horizon Psychological Services, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in psychology.
With years of experience to her credit, Dr. Ross has excelled as a clinical psychologist with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs since 2017 and the owner of New Horizon Psychological Services LLC since 2018. In addition to these positions, she has been active as the treasurer for the Association of Black Psychologists since 2021, a board member for the Saint Louis Psychoanalytic Institute since 2019, and a member of the American Psychological Association since 2010. She previously served as a licensed psychologist with Our Little Haven from 2015 to 2017. Dr. Ross began her career as a licensed psychologist with the Family Life Counseling and Psychological Services, LLC from 2010 to 2015.
Before embarking on her professional path, Dr. Ross pursued an education at Clark Atlanta University, from which she earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology in 2001. She concluded her studies at Saint Louis University in 2008, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy in clinical psychology. Attributing her success to her passion for her work and the support of her family, she has accrued several accolades throughout her career, including a Leadership Award from the Missouri Psychological Association and the St. Louis Veterans Affairs (VA) Advancing Diversity in Psychology Award, the latter of which noted her as the inaugural recipient. Among her many achievements, she is incredibly proud of providing young people with second chances through reduced sentencing so they may undergo alternative rehabilitation opportunities and reintegrate into society. Looking toward the future, Dr. Ross hopes to write a book while continuing to advocate for free and widespread psychoeducation as to erase the stigma surrounding mental health services.
