Dr. Silverberg has enjoyed a diverse, rewarding career in medicine, marked by innovation, leadership and expertise across multiple disciplines. Since 2019, he has served as a managing member at HEATJAC™, where he has been instrumental in developing and patenting temperature-regulating garments designed for operating room professionals. His inventive spirit is further evidenced by two patents for the HEATJAC™ product, which can also be used for individuals across other fields, such as military personnel, hunters, golfers, motorcycle riders, and anyone interested in staying warm. Dr. Silverberg’s commitment to the product reflects his commitment to improving safety and comfort in the medical and other environments.
From 2015 to 2019, Dr. Silverberg was the owner of Operationheatjac, LLC, now HEATJAC™. The experience enabled him to merge his clinical knowledge with entrepreneurial pursuits, resulting in the creation of innovative products for health care professionals.
Expanding his expertise in 2021, Dr. Silverberg began serving as the executive director of Private Label Surrogacy, a gestational surrogacy-based company in Deerfield, Illinois, with extensive expertise in assisted reproductive technology. Over the past five years, he has been actively attending meetings to explain the agency’s operations and guiding its strategic direction. In this capacity, Dr. Silverberg has demonstrated a deep understanding of surrogacy and record reviews, earning recognition for his ability to navigate complex regulatory and ethical landscapes.
From 2022 to 2025, Dr. Silverberg served as a managing member of the National Surrogate Record Review (NSRR) in Deerfield, overseeing critical evaluations that support the surrogacy field. His role at NSRR was critical to his subsequent success at Private Label Surrogacy.
Dr. Silverberg spent over 25 years in the operating room as a staff anesthesiologist. From 2005 to 2024, he was affiliated with Mobile Anesthesiologists LLC, providing expert care in diverse clinical settings for nearly two decades. Earlier in his career, Dr. Silverberg contributed to Triangle Implant Center in North Carolina between 2013 and 2014 and to Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, from 1993 to 2000. Throughout these roles, he consistently demonstrated excellence in patient care and advanced procedural techniques as a leading anesthesiologist.
Dr. Silverberg’s academic foundation began with a Bachelor of Science in biology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1978. Subsequently, he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery on campus in 1982 before completing an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago in 1986. Pursuing further education, Dr. Silverberg obtained a Doctor of Medicine from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 1988 after an accelerated two-year program. From there, he completed a transitional internship at West Suburban Medical Center between 1990 and 1991 before undertaking an anesthesiology residency program at Michael Reese Hospital, the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System, and the University of Illinois, which he completed in 1992. Dr. Silverberg holds certification from The American Board of Anesthesiology and received additional recognition from the United Latino Students Association.
Further distinguishing his professional journey, Dr. Silverberg is a member of The Physician Project®, underscoring his commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration within the medical community. Meanwhile, his civic engagement includes volunteering with Durham Habitat for Humanity on construction projects and contributing to Mighty Hero Homes, reflecting his commitment to supporting communities beyond his professional obligations.
Dr. Silverberg is widely recognized as an expert in anesthesiology, surrogacy, record reviews and medical inventions, a testament to his broad skill set and dedication to advancing his fields. His achievements have been recognized with several honors, dating back to 1992 when he received a DRIPS Award for Most Outstanding Anesthesia Resident.
Throughout his life, Dr. Silverberg has attributed his success to a strong memory, an enduring curiosity and a creative approach that encourages exploration beyond traditional boundaries. Influenced by observing his father build a successful business despite a challenging relationship, he developed resilience and independence. These qualities helped propel Dr. Silverberg to leave New York and pursue accomplishments on his own terms.
Dr. Silverberg takes pride in achieving goals across varied interests, including coaching his son’s baseball team until it reached the varsity level and training a dog that became a champion by age 2. Looking ahead, he aims to excel as a 200-meter competitor. Professionally, Dr. Silverberg intends to introduce his patented invention to broader society for societal benefit. He remains dedicated to fostering meaningful relationships and helping others through both personal endeavors and professional innovations.
