Dr. Carlisle Woods has enjoyed a diverse career spanning more than five decades, marked by leadership, innovation and a commitment to entertainment, education, health and community advancement. For over 10 years, he has served as the chief executive officer of Prometheus Reborn Universal Foundation, a nonprofit organization where he coordinates with Global Records, produces and directs the “Ask Doc Alkebulanese Solutions Show” podcast, promotes his books and media projects, leads Trivalent Understanding Noetics (T.U.N.) classes, directs the Hip Hope Trio as the head musical director, and organizes edutainment experiences and concerts. Dr. Carlisle Woods is currently developing “Kamara’s Story,” the second book in his trilogy following “The Blessings of Slavery.”
Since 1995 and 1998, respectively, Dr. Carlisle Woods has also served as the vice president of operations and chief operations officer at Prometheus of Ohio Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio, contributing to the company’s outreach initiatives, which encompass the development and implementation of techniques, strategies and paradigms of existence that elevate humanity to new levels of life.
Adding to his expertise, Dr. Carlisle Woods became the vice president of education at Global Entertainment in Cleveland in 2004, where he has been instrumental in integrating educational content with entertainment to reach diverse audiences for Global Records.
Among his earlier roles, Dr. Carlisle Woods served as a personal development coordinator for the Aiming Higher Program at Sam’s Scholars in Cleveland from 2018 to 2020, with a focus on youth empowerment and academic achievement. Between 2011 and 2017, he served as the medical director for FitSpirit in Cleveland, providing clinical oversight and health education. Earlier, as an alternative health editor for African American Lifestyle Magazine from 2009 to 2013, Dr. Carlisle Woods contributed articles on holistic wellness and alternative medicine.
Dr. Carlisle Woods also served as an HIV outreach coordinator for primary care at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore from 1995 to 1999 and as a consultant and medical adviser at Grambling University in Grambling, Louisiana, from 1989 to 1994. His previous tenure as a medical director at Sicily Island Medical Center from 1984 to 1988 included oversight of clinical programs and patient care services.
In 1984, Dr. Carlisle Woods accepted a troubleshooting position with the national health care plan before becoming medical director at Intercounty Health Inc., a migrant health center in Martinsburg, West Virginia, for one year. He also excelled as the state of Louisiana’s vice president of primary care and represented Louisiana in Congress, where his advocacy earned him an invitation from the National Institutes of Health to assist in developing a new health care plan in 1989.
Dr. Carlisle Woods’s professional journey began with military service in the U.S. Army, where he advanced from private to sergeant. This experience instilled discipline and leadership skills that have informed his subsequent roles.
Highly educated, Dr. Carlisle Woods earned an Associate of Arts in music theory and composition from The High School of Performing Arts, a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Saint Louis Municipal School of Nursing, and a Bachelor of Science in biology and psychology from Webster University. From there, he obtained a Doctor of Medicine in primary care from the University of Kentucky, followed by an internship and residency in family practice at Howard University.
In addition to his formal education, Dr. Carlisle Woods holds an alternative educator certification and a middle school science teacher certification, credentials as a certified metaphysician and registered nurse, and a medical licensure in both Louisiana and Kentucky.
Dr. Carlisle Woods is a member of several professional organizations, including the Institute of Noetic Sciences. He also serves as the vice president and council member for family practice at SAMA and as the president of the Student National Medical Association. Throughout his career, Dr. Carlisle Woods has also remained deeply engaged with civic organizations and community initiatives. He is affiliated with the University of Kentucky College of Medicine Alumni Association and the Howard University Alumni Association.
As an author, Dr. Carlisle Woods has published several works. His articles on health education appeared regularly in the Erie Chinese Journal from 2011 to 2023, and he contributed editorial content on alternative health topics to the African American Lifestyle Magazine. Dr. Carlisle Woods also authored “A New Image for a New Health” in 2009, “The Trivalent Challenge” in 2011, and, among others, “The Blessings of Slavery” in 2013.
Musically gifted, Dr. Carlisle Woods collaborated on songs such as “Stop That Hate,” performed at Severance Hall’s Stop the Hate Scholarship Award Ceremony, and “This is the World We Live In” with Hip Hope Trio at Dunham Tavern Museum. He also performed at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the U.S. Open Tennis Tournament, and numerous gospel concerts.
Dr. Carlisle Woods is recognized as an expert across multiple disciplines, including medicine and health, metaphysics, music and linguistics. His contributions have been recognized with numerous awards, including the Humanitarian for Self-Development of People Award from McCall Consultant Company in 2012, the George Monroe All-Star Award every year between 2012 and 2017, and the Community Service of the Year Award from African American Lifestyle Magazine in 2014.
Looking ahead, Dr. Carlisle Woods intends to continue teaching Trivalent Noetics Understanding worldwide, advancing what he describes as “the next step in the evolution of humanity.”
