Dr. Bhojani is a leader in medicine, public health and organizational leadership, whose career has been marked by a series of influential roles in the medical industry, consulting and academia. In 2025, he began serving as an external examiner for the occupational medicine program at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, contributing his expertise to the evaluation and advancement of medical education standards.
Among his other roles, Dr. Bhojani has excelled as the chief executive officer of Corporate Health Solutions 21st since 2023, overseeing organizational strategy and operations while focusing on innovative approaches to corporate health management. Also, since 2023, he has been active in education as a professor and executive in residence in the school of public health at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) in Houston, Texas. In this capacity, Dr. Bhojani assists the dean with the school’s 10-year strategy, leads development initiatives, manages external partnerships, and serves as a senior adviser to the director of the Southwest Center for Occupational and Environmental Health. Furthermore, he teaches and develops programs both on and off campus.
Additionally, in 2024, Dr. Bhojani joined Sherwin-Williams as a global public health consultant and fractional health director, providing strategic guidance on health initiatives and supporting the company’s efforts to enhance employee well-being worldwide.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Bhojani excelled as the chief medical officer for North and South America and as the health lead for global manufacturing at Shell, based in Houston and The Hague, Netherlands, from 1999 to 2022. During his lengthy tenure, he played a pivotal role in shaping corporate health policies and practices across continents. Leveraging his former expertise, Dr. Bhojani spent 1993 to 1999 as the medical director at ExxonMobil Corporation in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Baytown, Texas. Earlier in his career, he was a faculty member at Aga Khan University in Pakistan from 1986 to 1988.
Dr. Bhojani completed pre-medical coursework at Government National College, Karachi, and Habib Public School before earning a Doctor of Medicine (MBBS) from DUHS in Karachi, Pakistan. Subsequently, he received a Master of Public Health in epidemiology, environmental health, and health promotion and a Doctor of Public Health from UTHealth. Dr. Bhojani served as the chief resident in the internal medicine residency program at the State University of New York and completed a fellowship in occupational and environmental medicine at the University of Texas. He is fluent in English and Urdu.
Dr. Bhojani maintains an active membership in several prominent industry organizations, including the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians, Inc. He has also served as a vice president, board member, and member of the executive committee of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine since 2019.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Dr. Bhojani is deeply engaged with civic organizations and advisory boards. He serves on the chancellor’s council executive committee for The University of Texas System, as a board member and vice chair of the health advisory committee for CanCare, Inc., as the chair of the board at Al-Hadi School, and, among other roles, as an advisory committee member for the Southwest Center for Occupational and Environmental Health at UTHealth.
Throughout his professional journey, Dr. Bhojani has demonstrated expertise in internal medicine, occupational and environmental medicine, leadership and management systems, and health and human performance. He has also become recognized for his ability to nurture talent within his teams, recruiting individuals who have gone on to excel in leadership roles both within his organizations and beyond.
Dr. Bhojani draws fulfillment in fostering professional growth among his colleagues, believing that people are the driving force behind any successful organization.
