Dr. Gharagozlou’s academic background has been integral to his success as a leader in pediatrics. He earned a Doctor of Medicine from Islamic Azad University, Tehran Medical Sciences, in 2002. Dr. Gharagozlou later completed a radiology residency at Saint Marina University Hospital, affiliated with Varna Medical School, from 2006 to 2008. This experience broadened his understanding of diagnostic imaging and its applications within pediatric care. From there, he spent one year as a physician observer at the Cleveland Clinic in 2012, where he gained valuable insights into advanced clinical practices. Additionally, Dr. Gharagozlou completed a residency in pediatrics at Newark Beth Medical Center in 2016 and served as a resident physician at the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey between 2013 and 2016.
Beyond his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Gharagozlou has been actively involved in civic initiatives and charitable organizations. He donates his time and resources as both a donor and volunteer for various charities, and offers free consultations for newborns, reflecting his commitment to giving back to the community.
Throughout his professional journey, Dr. Gharagozlou has demonstrated unwavering dedication to addressing the needs of underserved communities. He is most proud of his work providing medical care to over 5,000 low-income patients in East Peoria, Illinois, offering essential support to individuals facing significant barriers to health care access.
