Dr. Tenley E. Noone, family medicine physician at Florida Medical Clinic and Orlando Health, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in preventative health care.
For more than 10 years, Dr. Noone has built her career in the medical field, though that was not her original goal. Initially aiming to be an athlete, she suffered an accident while windsurfing. Though Dr. Noone’s plan to be an athlete ended here, she found herself inspired by her father, a rural family medicine doctor who saved her life and ensured she wouldn’t lose a limb due to the accident. That encouraged her to pursue her own professional journey, beginning as a doctor with Southeastern Integrated Family Medicine in 2014.
Dr. Noone later contributed for almost five years as a medical doctor with BayCare Medical Group. She joined Florida Medical Clinic, part of Orlando Health, as a family medicine physician in 2025. In this role, Dr. Noone provides both acute and routine medical care, specializing in working with women, geriatric and pediatric patients. She emphasizes a preventative approach to health care, focusing on lifestyle management to stop problems before they happen rather than just medicating issues that could have been prevented. Dr. Noone treats patients from the age of 5 and up, offering services ranging from traditional physical exams to skin biopsies to heart testing. She also utilizes her background as an athlete to inform her insights into sports medicine.
Beyond her primary vocation, Dr. Noone also created a nonprofit named Run Club in 2023. She continues to serve as a coach with this organization, which focuses on teaching kids aged 6 to 12 healthy habits around running. Dr. Noone facilitates meetups where kids are provided with a healthy breakfast, warm-up instructions and lessons on different paces for runs. The organization also monitors progress and awards medals to runners throughout a season, offering further motivation to keep running.
Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, Dr. Noone established a solid academic foundation, beginning with a Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Windsor in her home country of Canada in 2002. She stayed at that institution to obtain a Master of Science in cellular biology in 2004. In 2010, Dr. Noone earned an MD from the Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica. Subsequently, she completed an internship in pediatrics at Florida State University in 2010 and a residency program at the University of Florida in 2013. Dr. Noone has been certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Noone has garnered several awards, including the Joseph E.J. Habowsky Graduate Student Teaching Award in 2004 and two Volunteer of the Year Awards, one from the Canadian Club and one from Ross University, both in 2005. She was nominated for the Governor General’s Graduate Student Award in 2004 as well. Dr. Noone was presented with the Mcintosh Appreciation Award in 2018. She is a four-time recipient of the Top Doctor Award, having been given this honor in 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Outside of her career, Dr. Noone also devotes her time to parenting as a loving mother to one child. When not working, she enjoys swimming, snowboarding, golfing, running, playing ice hockey and paddleboarding. Looking to the future, Dr. Noone harbors the ambition of becoming the leading primary care provider in St. Petersburg, Florida. In particular, she hopes to increase the role of preventative medicine in the area while reducing reliance on prescription medication.
