With over a decade of experience to her credit, Dr. Roncin has established a successful career in health care, pathology, and education, specializing in surgical pathology, with a focus on breast pathology, and the multiple processes of clinical pathology. A combined anatomic and clinical pathologist, she currently excells as a pathologist with CHI Health and CommonSpirit Health and as a clinical instructor at Creighton University School of Medicine, roles she has held since 2023. In surgical pathology, she examines slides and reviews clinical notes to piece together the full picture for each case and collaborates closely with clinicians to ensure accurate diagnoses. In addition to her clinical work, she is deeply involved in teaching through the residency program and works with medical and physician assistant students at Creighton University. Her experience also includes serving as a pathologist with the Saskatchewan Health Authority in 2023, clinical fellow with the Saskatchewan Health Authority from 2021 to 2023, and resident doctor at University Hospitals from 2016 to 2021. Laying an educational foundation, she earned a Bachelor of Science in cell biology and anatomy from the University of Saskatchewan in 2010 and a Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University of the Americas in 2016.

Dr. Roncin is actively involved in various organizations, including the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, College of American Pathologists, International Society of Breast Pathologists, International Society of Neurological Pathologists, and American Society for Clinical Pathology. She also leads initiatives such as the network cancer committee, breast advisory committee, and department of pathology grand rounds committee at CommonSpirit Health. She also supports causes such as the Cystic Fibrosis Society’s Annual Walk at the Zoo, the Greystone Scholar Society, and the American Medical Student Association. Additionally, she is a regular blood donor for the American Red Cross and Canada Red Cross. She is also committed to advancing patient care by reintegrating pathology into bedside practice and fostering collaboration with clinical partners.

In light of her impressive undertakings, Dr. Roncin was featured as Top Pathologist in Best in Nebraska Magazine in 2024, an accolade she takes great pride in, and received several prestigious awards, including the Jerome A. Smith Infectious Disease Poster Award from the Binford-Dammin Society of Infectious Diseases Pathologists in 2021, the Association of Residents and Fellows Travel Award from Case Western Reserve in 2021, and the Harry L. Taylor IV, MD Trainee Award in Pathology in 2018. She has also been recognized with the Product Corp of Saskatchewan International Scholarship and the Greystone Scholar Award.

Dr. Roncin attributes her success to the resilience and perseverance instilled in her by her parents. Her mother, a folk artist, and her father, an industrial mechanic, taught her the value of dedication, hard work, and helping others. Since childhood, she dreamed of becoming a doctor, and while her vision of the profession has evolved, her passion for medicine has remained. Overcoming hurdles along her journey, she credits perseverance as the driving force behind her accomplishments. Looking to the future, she plans to take her second board exam in the coming month and is considering pursuing either a Master of Business Administration or a Master of Arts in Education to further her commitment to continuous learning and teaching. She also aims to expand her presence on YouTube, sharing her passion for education and medicine with a broader audience.
