Chukwudi “Chudi” Ogbolu, MD, MPH, owner and chief executive officer at EAC Medical Services, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care.

Dr. Ogbolu has established a successful career in health care as a physician, specializing in internal medicine. He currently excels as the owner and chief executive officer of EAC Medical Services, a role he has held since 2015, and as medical director and attending physician of an 80-bed nursing home. EAC Medical Services provides comprehensive healthcare solutions, including medical consultations, diagnostics, and specialized treatments. The organization is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through high-quality care and community engagement. His experience includes working with TeamHealth and Lehigh Valley Health Network, serving as a consultant for drug rehabilitation, and having an office practice at St. Luke’s Health. He was also an internal medicine resident at Greenwich Hospital, Yale New Haven Health for three years. He dedicates his time to the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians Inc. He supports initiatives like Helping Kids and donates to the medical community in Nigeria. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has earned plaques from the Children of Nigeria. Laying a solid educational foundation, he earned a bachelor’s degree in microbiology in Nigeria in 1984, a Master of Public Health from Emory University in 1993, and a Doctor of Medicine from Morehouse School of Medicine in 1999. Additionally, he is board certified in internal medicine.

Reflecting on his path, Dr. Ogbolu takes pride in having the ability to practice medicine on a non-traditional and flexible schedule, due to creating various sources of income. Throughout his career in medicine, he has noticed a shift towards evidence-based practices, particularly in terms of the medications being used, with a current approach aiming to prolong life through more targeted and effective interventions rather than solely focusing on treating symptoms. He attributes his success to being an immigrant and being able to observe and understand the privileges of being in America, using that advantage to assist people in need in Nigeria.

In the coming years, Dr. Ogbolu is planning for retirement and looking for a hobby he will enjoy. He intends to remain the owner of EAC Medical Services and fully shift his focus to his company once he leaves hospital medicine. He also aims to engage in more charitable work in Nigeria and other African countries, particularly with children. He has always valued the wisdom his uncle shared with him: “To succeed in medicine, especially in training, you have to rely on the nurses.” Throughout his residency, he recognized the vital role nurses play in providing excellent patient care and is grateful for the valuable support and assistance they provide. He has developed the ability to expand his expertise beyond his own field. In advising new medical professionals, he emphasizes the importance of pursuing their passions, taking their time in choosing a specialty after going through rotations, and not letting money be their guiding principle.
