Before embarking on her professional path, Dr. Dreyfus pursued an education at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a bachelor’s degree. She continued her academic efforts at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, obtaining a Master of Science in journalism. She concluded her studies at Hahnemann Medical College, graduating with a PsyD in clinical psychology in 1981. She holds a private practice license.
Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Dr. Dreyfus has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She found success with her written work “Talk to Me Like I’m Someone You Love: Relationship Repair in a Flash,” published by TarcherPerigee in 2009. In light of her impressive undertakings, she has accrued several accolades throughout her career. She was the recipient of the second prize at the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Awards for exemplary reporting on issues affecting the disadvantaged, and her book was named one of “24 Brainstorms of the Planet” in New Reader Magazine. In the immediate future, she intends to continue her lifelong mission of raising consciousness and infusing psychological awareness and emotional maturity into the realm of news.
