In 2006, Dr. Ulm embarked on his clinical journey as an intercampus pediatrics resident physician at UCLA, Cedars-Sinai, and Olive View Hospitals in the Greater Los Angeles Area. He further honed his skills through overseas medical fellowships in Taiwan and Germany. Continuing his academic pursuits, he became a postdoctoral fellow in medical genetics and bioinformatics at Cedars-Sinai and UCLA from 2013 to 2016. Dr. Ulm also served as a clinical genetics resident at UPMC in Pittsburgh from 2019 to the present, alongside his current role as a bioinformatic scientific resource analyst and biomedical data specialist at the NCBI since 2020.
