He initiated his involvement with the aforementioned college as a doctor of medicine from 2018 to 2021. He began his career as a medical resident at Queensland Health from 2009 to 2010. He served as a registrar at the Royal Australasian College of Physicians from 2010 to 2014 and at Australasian College for Emergency Medicine from 2014 to 2018. He found success practicing internal medicine at New York City Health and Hospitals since 2018.

Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Arumairaj pursued an education at the PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Coimbatore, India where he earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2005. He completed the necessary coursework to graduate with his Doctorate of Medicine before successfully undertaking a residency in anesthesiology at Stanley Medical College in 2009. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He donated his time and effort to the Australian Red Cross and volunteered in the aftermath of the 2004 tsunami. Moreover, he was part of a blood donation group in India.

In addition to his primary vocation, Dr. Arumairaj remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the Australian Medical Association, the Internal Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand, and the Indian Society of Anesthesiologists. He decided to go into medicine because he loved the fact that doctors could save lives. He wanted to make a difference in patients’ lives, especially the critically ill. 

Dr. Arumairaj’s most notable achievement was his enormous degree of clinical experience. In the immediate future, he wants to finish his pulmonary critical care fellowship in the next three years. Afterward, he plans to work as an attending physician in a university hospital. He will also continue to be involved in research activities and publish in major conferences in the United States and Australia.
