He served as chief utilization review at Southwest General Hospital and chief of medicine in Santa Rosa.
Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Rocha pursued an education at Baylor University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1975. He continued his academic efforts at Centro de Estudios Universitarios Xochicalco and graduated with his Medical Doctorate in 1980. At Rush University Medical College, he completed the fifth pathway program in medicine in 1981 and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 1984.
In addition to his primary vocation, Dr. Rocha remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the American College of Physicians, Inc., the Bear County Medical Society, RGVACO, and the TMA. Additionally, he served as president of El Nuevo Progreso.
Dr. Rocha’s passion for serving the community led him to pursue a career in medicine. He had expressed his desire to become a doctor since childhood, with the intention of providing medical assistance to communities in need. Currently, he is fulfilling his goal by operating two offices: one in the south side of San Antonio and the other in a rural community located nearly 20 miles outside of the city. He is committed to providing medical care to those in need, regardless of their location.
