Previously, she served as a consultant for various groups, and in a number of roles at several UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Before venturing onto her vocational path, Dr. Babikir studied at the Ahfad University for Women, where she earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 1999. Following this accomplishment, she went on to attain an executive Master of Business Administration in organizational leadership at the University of Texas at Dallas in 2018. Throughout her academic journey, she received an award of distinction at Ahfad University, and was noted as a scholar of recognition at the University of Texas at Dallas. Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Babikir serves as a board member at the Texas Muslim Women Foundation, a nonprofit organization that avails itself on behalf of men and women who have experienced domestic violence. In addition to her board involvement, she conducts annual fundraising.
