Leveraging more than four decades of experience as a neurologist, Dr. Vasquez has distinguished himself as the president of Suncoast Neuroscience Associates, a clinic specializing in the research of various neurological disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Lou Gehrig’s disease, and a number of other conditions. Proud to have earned distinction in the same community for over 30 years, he is likewise gratified to have served as a primary clinical investigator on more than 100 clinical trials. In addition to this role, Dr. Vasquez has found success as a neurologist at Central Neurology since 1995. Throughout the course of his career, he has endeavored to put the needs of his patients before all other considerations, providing appropriate care, compassion, and continuing education on behalf of his colleagues.
Dr. Vasquez first sought a formal education at the University of Santo Tomas, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science, as well as a Doctor of Medicine in 1980. He has also been certified by the American Board of Psychiatry, the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and as a principal investigator by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. To remain aware of developments in his field, he maintains his affiliation with such organizations as the American Academy of Neurology, the American Association of Electrodiagnostic and Neuromuscular Medicine, and the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Vasquez raises funds on behalf of Hospital on Wheels, a nonprofit organization in the Philippines, and personally provides free medical and surgical care to patients in remote areas on a monthly basis. Looking toward the future, he aspires to continue engaging in clinical trials and serving as a mentor to his son.
