With over 30 years of experience to his credit, Dr. Dieck has excelled as medical director at St. David’s Healthcare Partnership, C-HCA, Inc., where he has specialized in advanced heart failure since 2014. He began his career as president at Medical Research & Advisory Group Inc. in 1991 and remains in the position. Concurrently, he garnered expertise as medical director at Seton Medical Center, specializing in heart failure and cardiac transplantation, from 1995 to 1997.
Dr. Dieck contributed to Texas Cardiovascular Consultants, PA as chief executive officer and president from 1993 to 2008. He established himself as president at Texas Heart & Vascular PLLC since 2011. He continued his career as an expert panelist for the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners from 2011 to 2014 and as director at Capson Physicians Insurance Company from 2012 to 2018.
Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Dieck pursued an education at Southwestern University, where he graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a minor in mathematics, biology, and business in 1980. He concluded his studies at Baylor College of Medicine, obtaining his Medical Doctorate in 1984. He completed a board certification in cardiovascular medicine from The Texas Heart Institute in 1990 and another in internal medicine from Baylor Affiliated Hospitals in 1987.
In addition to his primary vocation, Dr. Dieck remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the YPO and the International Society for Heart & Lung Transplantation and a fellow of the American Heart Association, Inc. and the American College of Cardiology Foundation. Furthermore, he sat on the board of governors at St. David’s Healthcare Partnership. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was recognized as Super Doctor by Texas Monthly Magazine in 2023 and 2024, and as the Most Valuable Physician by St. David’s Medical Center of Austin, Texas.
