With nearly 20 years of experience to her credit, Dr. Gupta has excelled as a licensed clinical psychologist with, and the owner of, Psychological Expressions in Boca Raton, Florida since 2006. Prior to these positions, she was active as a psychologist with Lifeskills from 2008 to 2009. She previously served as a clinician and a clinical supervisor at The Renfrew Center between 2005 and 2008. Dr. Gupta began her career as a psychology trainee with the Citrus Health Network Inc. from 2004 to 2005.
Before embarking on her professional path, Dr. Gupta pursued an education at the University of Florida, from which she earned a bachelor’s degree. Soon thereafter, she completed a psychology internship at the Children’s Psychiatric Center from 2003 to 2004. She concluded her academic efforts at Nova Southeastern University, obtaining a master’s degree before graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy in clinical psychology with a concentration in health psychology in 2006. In addition to these accomplishments, Dr. Gupta garnered her license as a clinical psychologist and her certification as an eating disorder specialist.
Beyond her primary responsibilities within the field, Dr. Gupta has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her immediate circles. The co-founder of the South Florida chapter of The International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, for which she was elected as president, she likewise contributed to The International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals Foundation as the vice president from 2010 to 2014. Dr. Gupta gas been likewise affiliated with the American Psychological Association, the Academy for Eating Disorders, the Florida Psychological Association and the National Association for Eating Disorder Professionals.
In light of her impressive undertakings, Dr. Gupta was presented with The Spirit of IAEDP Award by The International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals Foundation. Initially debating on becoming a physician or pediatrician during her formative years, she has attributed her success to her hard work, consistency, education, and remaining connected to her peers. Among the many highlights of her career, she is incredibly proud to have created a practice that services many people in the area. In the coming years, Dr. Gupta will continue thriving in her private practice while training future psychologists who may eventually work alongside her.
