Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. VanBenthuysen earned a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from The Citadel in 1978 and a Doctor of Dental Medicine in general dentistry from the College of Dentistry at the University of Florida in 1982. He subsequently completed postdoctorate coursework in guided implant surgery at the White Cap Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah. Attributing his success to his hard work, continuous education, the support of his family, and the observational knowledge gained from his peers, he was notably presented with a Commendation Medal from the U.S. Army, a Leadership in Dentistry Award from Marquee Dental Partners, LLC, and a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry in 1997. Looking toward the future, Dr. VanBenthuysen hopes to continue thriving within the field of dentistry.
