Dr. Turowski previously served as a keyword indexer on the ISG Team in the Database Division with the Veterinary Information Network, Inc. in Davis, California from 2010 to 2015, a graduate teaching assistant for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2011 and a veterinary assistant with the MedVet Medical and Cancer Centers for Pets from 2004 to 2008.

During this time, Dr. Turowski worked in the University Laboratory Animal Resources at The Ohio State University as a student research assistant in 2004 and a Cass fellow in 2008. She was likewise recruited as a mathematics and science tutor by the aforementioned university in 2004. She began her career as a veterinary assistant with Hull Veterinary Hospital Inc. in Mansfield, Ohio in 2003. Outwise of her primary endeavors, Dr. Turowski volunteers at the New England Aquarium in Boston, helping to care for marine creatures on a part-time basis.

To support her professional ambitions, Dr. Turowski pursued an education at The Ohio State University, initially earning a Bachelor of Science in biological engineering in 2006. She continued her academic efforts with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University in 2010. She concluded her studies with a postdoctoral fellowship in the division of comparative medicine at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2014. Attributing her success to her independence and her critical thinking skills, she is incredibly proud of opening a clinic at a vocational technical high school in Danvers, Massachusetts, during which time she helped multiple classes graduate from the program with certifications in veterinary assistance and pet first aid and CPR. In the coming years, Dr. Turowski hopes to help demonstrate to younger veterinarians that veterinary medicine is a sustainable career through which they can provide excellent care for clients and patients in need.
