Before embarking on her professional path, Dr. Leno pursued an education at Marygrove College, from which she earned a Bachelor of Science. She continued her academic efforts with a Master of Arts in clinical psychology at the Michigan School of Psychology. She concluded her studies at Saybrook University in 2007, from which she graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy. She was initially drawn to becoming a lawyer, thus studying psychology for her undergraduate degree, but she became fascinated with psychology and eventually believed she would be able to help others overcome their mental health challenges and eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health struggles. Attributing her success to her self-awareness, she is incredibly proud to be able to share her expertise with a wider audience through her television show. Looking toward the future, Dr. Leno hopes to help more people understand mental health and eventually become an award-winning television host.
