In addition to providing examinations and assisting patients with various visual diseases or injuries, he also specializes in working with children with dyslexia. Adjacent to his primary duties, Dr. Barniske is also a former president of the College of Syntonic Optometry, having served in the leadership role in 1979.
As part of his dedication to his profession, Dr. Barniske remains affiliated with the International Light Association. Prior to beginning his vocational journey, he pursued a formal education, ultimately earning a Doctor of Optometry at the University of California, Los Angeles David Geffen School of Medicine. He also honorably served in the United States Army for two years during the Cold War. Well-regarded for his professional accomplishments, Dr. Barniske has received several honors for assisting those in need of color light therapy. Attributing much of his success to his involvement in his community, he is particularly proud of all of his work in the field. Looking to the future, Dr. Barniske hopes to retire in the coming years.
