In preparation for his career, Dr. Ponquinette attended Hampton University and earned a Bachelor of Science in biology in 2000. In 2004, he earned a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania, and in 2016, he graduated from the American College of Integrative Medicine and Dentistry with a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree. Dr. Ponquinette completed his residency at the Montefiore Medical Center in 2008 and became board certified in 2010.
To keep abreast of his field, Dr. Ponquinette has maintained affiliation with the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the New Jersey Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the New Jersey Board of Anesthesia, the American Dental Association and the New Jersey Dental Association. Dr. Ponquinette considers maintaining a high level of performance in his current job and improving the lives of his patients to be the highlight of his career.
Dr. Ponquinette attributes his success to not fearing change and continuing to evolve as a practitioner. In the coming years, he hopes to enhance his skills, manage others perioperatively and venture into biologic dentistry. In his spare time, Dr. Ponquinette enjoys playing football, playing basketball and spending time with his family.
