Dr. Allison Marlene Souza, Family Nurse Practitioner and Health and Hospital Safeguard with Shriver Clinical Services Corp., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in family practice.
Since 2019, Dr. Souza has served the Shriver Clinical Services Corp. as a family nurse practitioner and health and hospital safeguard. In this role, she works in collaboration with the state of Massachusetts’ Department of Developmental Services to ensure that individuals they serve get equal treatment to people without disabilities. Prior to this role, she was a family nurse practitioner with Episource LLC from 2015 to 2019 and Matrix Medical Network from 2018 to 2019. Dr. Souza began her career as a registered nurse with Southcoast Health from 2010 to 2013.
In preparation for her career, Dr. Souza attended the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital School of Nursing and earned a registered nurse diploma in 2008. In 2010, she graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She concluded her higher education at Walden University, obtaining a Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2017. Alongside her formal degrees, Dr. Souza is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and certified developmental disabilities nurse.
In recognition of her career accomplishments, Dr. Souza was named to the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels by Governor Steven L. Beshar in 2015. She was also named to the Golden Key Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success. As a testament to her academic excellence, Dr. Souza received the Clancy Memorial Scholarship.
To keep abreast of her career, Dr. Souza has maintained affiliation with the Massachusetts Nursing Honor Guard, Sigma Theta Tau, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. She attributes her success to her determination and commitment to continual improvement. In the future, she hopes to complete her training and take over as executive director of the Shriver Clinical Services Corp.
