She served as Medical Director and Clinician at Westside Healthcare Association, Inc. Dr Howell Canada was owner and clinician at Alaska Pediatric Associates, PC.
Dr Howell-Canada has had a plethora of experiences throughout her career as Medical Director and clinician at Westside Healthcare Association, Inc. Dr Howell Canada was owner and clinician of Alaska Pediatric Associates, PC., the Chief and President-elect of the Medical Staff at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center and Medical Director for Aetna. Outside her work Dr Howell-Canada contributes her time and talents to and through Salem Baptist Church of Chicago and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
As an expert in her field Dr. Howell- Canada holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Medical Degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of Maryland Medical System. Due to her vast breadth of knowledge, Dr. Howell-Canada and understanding the interworking of the clinical and administrative collaborative she co-authored “Lessons Learned During COVID-19 Pandemic Case Study of a Las Vegas clinic which was presented through the American Academy of Pediatrics in NCE 2020 convention.
Considering her achievements, Dr. Howell-Canada received community recognition awards through services at Westside Healthcare Association, Inc. While her career has been filled with a multitude of first-time highlights, she takes the most pride in watching babies transition from birth to first grade education. Though hard work and dedication have propelled her, she credits humility and a great familial and friend support system. Within the coming years, Dr. Howell-Canada intends to focus on being a mentor and coach to upcoming physicians and clinical professionals.
