Elias Habib Kassab, MD, Founder, Chief Executive Officer and President of Dearborn Cardiology, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in cardiac care.
With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Kassab has excelled since 1989 as the founder, chief executive officer and president of Dearborn Cardiology. In addition to this role, he has been the chief executive officer and chief marketing officer of the Michigan Outpatient Vascular Institute since 2012. In 2023, he accepted the additional position of chief executive officer of the Michigan Outpatient Vascular Institute’s Ambulatory Surgery Center.
In preparation for his career in cardiology, Dr. Kassab completed pre-medicine coursework at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. He graduated from the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium, with a Doctor of Medicine. Following his graduation, he completed a residency and internship at Wayne State University and a fellowship in cardiology with William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Alongside his formal degrees, Dr. Kassab is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also board-certified in endovascular and vascular medicine by the American Board of Vascular Medicine. Dr. Kassab is additionally a registered physician in vascular interpretation.
In 2019, Dr. Kassab authored two chapters in Dr. Krishna Jain’s book “Office-based Endovascular Centers.” He enjoys art, wine, golf, exercise, cooking, traveling and researching in his spare time. In the coming years, he plans to continue building his brand and legacy by delivering the highest level of healthcare. Dr. Kassab wants to ensure that his facility leaves a mark as a leading, self-supervised cardiovascular outpatient center.
