He contributed to “Staged and Combined Approach for Resection of Giant Posterior Fossa and Temporal Bone Schwannoma” and “Extent of Resection Research in Skull Base Neurosurgery: Previous Studies and Future Directions,” both published in 2022 with PubMed. Dr. Fredrickson also authored “Complete Cavernous Sinus Resection: An Analysis of Complications” in 2018.
In preparation for his career, Dr. Fredrickson attended the University of Minnesota and earned a bachelor’s degree. He completed an internship with the University of Wisconsin Hospital and a fellowship in neuroendovascular surgery with the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph Hospital. Dr. Fredrickson completed an additional fellowship in skull base and cerebrovascular surgery at the University of Utah Hospital and earned a Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University in 2013. Following this achievement, he completed a residency at the LAC + USC Medical Center. Dr. Fredrickson holds numerous professional certifications in addition to his formal degrees. He is board certified in neurological surgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. He holds medical licenses in North Dakota, Wyoming, Utah, Montana and California.
To keep abreast of his career, Dr. Fredrickson is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the North American Skull Base Society and the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery. In the coming years, he hopes to continue building access to complex neurosurgical care. In his spare time, he enjoys mountain climbing, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, camping, backpacking and fishing.
