Well-regarded for her scholarly output as well, Dr. Padron Lopez has authored and contributed numerous papers and articles for medical journals and books. Most recently, she co-authored the paper “Risk of Depression in the Geriatric Population in a Mexican Community at an Institution of the Health Services of Mexico” for the International Journal of Clinical & Medical Informatics in 2019. Over the course of her career, she has also delivered several noteworthy lectures and presentation pertaining to her work in the field.
To commemorate her accomplishments, Dr. Padron Lopez was honored with the Best Family Medicine Resident Award from UANL in 2017. Furthermore, in light of her early successes, she was recognized with an International Award for Research in the Use of Physical Restraints in Elderly Care in Nursing Homes in 2013. Attributing much of her success to her resilience and dedicated work ethic, she is most notably proud of her participation in the Law AB 1045 project, which allows Mexican health care providers to travel to California to provide specialty care to patients. In the coming years, Dr. Padron Lopez hopes to return to her homeland of Mexico and give lectures on family medicine and work as a general practitioner.
