In 2010, Mr. Robson became a vascular and transplant surgeon with Corewell Health. From 2006 to 2010, he was the medical director of vascular ultrasound training at Grand Valley State University. From 2004 to 2005, he was a vascular surgeon at the Grand Rapids Vein Clinic. Mr. Robson was a consultant to the Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital and a staff vascular surgeon with St. Mary’s Hospital and the Blodgett Memorial Medical Center from 1971 to 2002. He began her career as the director of vascular ultrasound for the West Michigan Heart Laboratory.
Mr. Robson prepared for his career at Albion College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1959. In 1963, he graduated from the University of Michigan with a Doctor of Medicine. From 1968 to 1970, he served as a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Robson received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Spectrum Health and a Teacher of the Year award from the Blodgett Memorial Medical Center. To keep abreast of his field, he has maintained membership with the Grand Rapids Symphony, the Salvation Army, the Society for Vascular Surgery and the Michigan Vascular Society. Mr. Robson is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, golfing and music.
