Lawrence E. Cutler, MD, Physician and Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cornell University’s Weill Medical College, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in obstetrics and gynecology.

Since 2010, Dr. Cutler has been a clinical assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Cornell University’s Weill Medical College. He has also served as a physician since 1987. Prior to his current position, he was an instructor at Cornell University from 1984 to 1987 and an assistant attending obstetrician and gynecologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

In preparation for his career in medicine, Dr. Cutler earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Wayne State University in 1976. He graduated from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine with a Doctor of Medicine in 1980 and completed an internship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Alongside his formal degrees, Dr. Cutler was board certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1986.

Among his accomplishments, Dr. Cutler delivered approximately 8,000 babies. He received a Patients’ Choice Award in 2017, On-Time Doctor Awards in 2015, 2016, and 2017, and an award for Outstanding Contributions as an Educator in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Weill Cornell Medical Center in 2014 and 2017. He was inducted into the Phi Lambda Upsilon National Chemistry Honor Society in 1976 and the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society in 1985. In 2015 and 2016, Dr. Cutler received Compassionate Doctor Recognitions.

To keep abreast of his field, Dr. Cutler is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. A life member of the New York Academy of Sciences, he is also a member of the Medical Society of the State of New York and the New York County Medical Society. Dr. Cutler co-authored “Gold Coins of the Old West: The Carson City Mint 1870-1893” in 1994. In his spare time, he enjoys collecting coins and American art.
