Before beginning his career, Dr. Samuels pursued a formal education, ultimately earning a Doctor of Medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1984. He subsequently completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 1987 and a fellowship in rheumatology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in 1989. In addition to his academic credentials, Dr. Samuels has also been certified in his field by the ABIM Foundation. In light of his fulfilling career, he largely attributes his success to his drive and personality as a perfectionist. Accounting for his accomplishments, Dr. Samuels is most notably proud of his three successful daughters.
