Sanam Kheirieh, DDS, Traveling Endodontist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in dentistry.
Before immigrating to the United States in 2011, Dr. Kheirieh attended the Mashhad School of Dentistry at the Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Iran, graduating in 2005 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery. She continued her higher education in the United States at the University of Maryland, earning a Master of Science in biomedical science and completing a residency in endodontics. While studying at the aforementioned institution, Dr. Kheirieh also completed doctoral coursework between 2013 and 2016.
For five years, Dr. Kheirieh worked as a general dentist in Iran. Since coming to the United States and completing further education, she has worked as a traveling endodontist at numerous institutions. Dr. Kheirieh has worked with the Arlington Dental KS Center, the Del Ray Dental Center, the Belle Haven Dental Center, the Annandale Smiles, Peter K. Cocolis Jr. DMD & Associates, and Stone Ridge Family Dentistry.
Alongside her professional pursuits, Dr. Kheirieh has also shared her expertise as the author of numerous professional articles. In 2014, she authored “Twenty years of research on mineral trioxide aggregate: a scientometric report.” In 2012, she published “High-level evidences in Endodontics” in the journal Scientometrics. For her accomplishments in dentistry, Dr. Kheirieh earned The Sherril Ann Science Endodontic Research Fellowship Award in 2015 for demonstrating exceptional ability in the field of endodontic research.
Dr. Kheirieh has maintained membership in the American Association of Endodontics, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the International Association of Dental Research. She became involved in her profession because she was interested in implants and periodontics during dental school and possesses an innate capacity for detail-oriented work. She considers her networking her most notable professional achievement among her career accomplishments. Dr. Kheirieh believes in the advancement of women within dentistry and the medical sciences and encourages her daughter to believe in herself. She credits her husband, Armin Salimi, for his support throughout her life and career.
